The Wawgant Toubkal Trail is organized by Cooperative Tougr Ikkaln for Mountain Tourism and Local Development, in partnership with Association Tougr Ikkaln for Mountain Sports.
Intellectual Property
- The name "Wawgant Toubkal Trail" is a trademark officially registered with Association Tougr Ikaln for Mountain Sports and Local Development.
- Association Tougr Ikaln is the official organizer of the event.
- Any use of the name or trademark for commercial, advertising, or promotional purposes is prohibited without prior written authorization.

ARTICLE 4 - PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS
IMPORTANT: Minimum age required: 18 years or older on the date of the event
IMPORTANT: Mandatory medical certificate (dated less than one year)
IMPORTANT: Acceptance of official rules is mandatory upon registration
- Open to licensed and non-licensed runners aged 18 or older on the date of the event.
- Acceptance of the official Wawgant Toubkal Trail rules is mandatory upon registration for each distance.
- Mandatory medical certificate (less than one year old), to be sent by email to contact@wawganttrail.ma upon registration for validation by the organization.
For Long Distance Events
- WTT Toubkal - Toubkal Summit by Wawgant

The organization requires a track record or proof of experience: having completed a long or ultra trail running race, with an ITRA point or equivalent.
ARTICLE 5 - REGISTRATION
Registration is exclusively online via the SportEvents platform:
To register, visit www.wawganttrail.ma, click "Register" for your chosen race, accept the official regulations, then continue to SportEvents.
No on-site registration will be accepted.
Registration Fees Include
- A finisher t-shirt (given at the finish for finishers)
- A finisher medal
- Entertainment and music on the course and at the race village
- Solid and liquid refreshments adapted to the distances
- Medical assistance throughout the event
- Individual accident insurance included by the organization
Payment Methods
Payment of registration fees is exclusively online via the official platforms. For participants in Morocco: payment in MAD via SportEvents (bank transfer or card). For international participants: payment in € or $ via RaceID (international credit card). No other payment method is accepted.
Group Discounts
An automatic discount is applied for groups of 20 people or more when registering via the official website.
Changes, Cancellations and Transfers
- Any request for change, cancellation or transfer of registration must be made by email to: contact@wawganttrail.ma
- Cancellation requests must be made at least 30 days before the event date.
- Any validated cancellation automatically incurs fixed administrative fees of 150 MAD.
- After the 30-day deadline before the event, no cancellation or refund will be accepted.
Elite Athletes and Famous Runners
- Free registration is reserved for high-level or very famous elite runners, with an official international or national track record (UTMB, ITRA, recognized podiums).
- Interested parties must send an email to contact@wawganttrail.ma with: name, date of birth, distance, ID and official supporting documents.
- The organization reserves the right to accept or refuse any request.
ARTICLE 6 - MANDATORY TRAIL EQUIPMENT
A mandatory equipment check is carried out before the start for all distances.
Every runner must present themselves at the check with all their complete equipment.
WARNING: Failure to comply with this rule may result in a start ban or disqualification during the race.
To ensure your Wawgant Toubkal Trail experience goes smoothly and you are fully safe in the mountains, please carefully follow the mandatory equipment list below.
Mandatory Equipment
- Headlamp (2 headlamps mandatory for 42 km and Toubkal by Wawgant distances)
- Water reserve of at least 1 liter (mandatory for all distances)
- Survival blanket
- Whistle
- Waterproof and windproof jacket
- Charged mobile phone with emergency number saved
- Cap or buff
- Personal cup (no disposable cups provided at aid stations - zero plastic policy)
- Personal bowl and cutlery for refreshments at checkpoints (CPI)
- ID document (mandatory to present at bib pickup and to keep on you during the race)
ARTICLE 7 - BIB PICKUP AND START TIMES
Bib pickup takes place exclusively at the Wawgant Toubkal Trail Village, located in the center of Imlil, the official start and finish location for all races.

ARTICLE 8 - AID STATIONS, COURSE MARKING AND SAFETY
Aid Stations
Solid and liquid refreshments adapted to each distance.
At each aid station (CPI):
- Still and sparkling water
- Tea and coffee
- Dates, raisins, bananas, oranges, chocolate
- Hot soup depending on distance and time of passage
- Personal bowl and cutlery mandatory for on-site consumption (zero plastic policy)
Important note: Some CPIs are intended only for hydration and safety. They do not offer solid refreshments.
ZERO PLASTIC POLICY
Personal cup mandatory - No disposable cups provided at aid stations
Post-race meal: each trail runner receives a full meal served at the Wawgant Toubkal Trail Village after their finish, to promote recovery and conviviality.
Course Marking
- Courses entirely marked with tape and eco-friendly markers, respecting safety standards and minimizing environmental impact.
- All participants must strictly follow course directions and instructions under penalty of disqualification.
Safety
- Permanent presence of medical teams and mountain rescue throughout the course.
- The organization may neutralize a runner deemed to be in danger, to ensure the safety of all participants.

Checkpoints and Time Limits
- Checkpoints (CPI) and time limits are determined by the organization according to each distance.
- It is strictly forbidden to be checked outside official CPIs.
- Some checkpoints may be hidden to ensure compliance with the course and safety.
- Any external technical assistance (help, transport, unofficial refreshment) is prohibited, especially for the 42 km distance.
Withdrawal
- Any withdrawal must be made at a checkpoint.
- Runners are taken care of and accompanied back to the start village by the organization team.

ARTICLE 11 - IMAGE RIGHTS
1. Authorization to Use Image
Each participant explicitly authorizes the Wawgant Toubkal Trail organization to use their image (photos, videos, interviews, audio recordings) for the promotion and official communication of the event, on all media (website, social networks, brochures, posters, partner media).
2. Limits and Privacy
The use of images must respect the dignity and privacy of the participant. No commercial use unrelated to the event will be made without prior written consent from the participant.
3. Implicit Consent
Participation in the event implies acceptance of this article. Any participant wishing to refuse the use of their image must notify the organization in writing before bib pickup, by email: contact@wawganttrail.ma
4. Duration of Use
The organization may use images for the promotion of the event and its future editions, without time limit, unless the participant explicitly requests withdrawal.
5. International Standards Compliance
This article follows the recommendations of international trails and marathons (UTMB, ITRA, World Athletics) which require clear communication on image use and the participant's right of refusal.
ARTICLE 12 - SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND ORGANIZER COMMITMENT
1. Zero Plastic Policy
The event applies a zero plastic policy, and the use of disposable cups is strictly prohibited. Participants must use their personal cups, bowls or cutlery, provided by the organization, for all refreshments.
2. Respect for the Environment and Local Residents
Strict respect for fauna, flora and local inhabitants. The Wawgant Toubkal Trail takes place in Toubkal National Park, a fragile natural environment that must be preserved. Participants must ensure they do not damage trails, natural spaces and biodiversity.
3. Penalties
WARNING: Any violation of environmental rules may result in penalties, up to immediate disqualification from the race.
4. Aid Stations (CPI)
Aid stations comply with eco-responsible standards:
- Selective waste sorting
- Limitation of packaging
- Provision of solid and liquid refreshments respecting environmental rules
5. Organizer Commitment
Given its strong commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development, the Wawgant Toubkal Trail organizer:
- Implements concrete actions to reduce the ecological impact of the event
- Collaborates with institutional and environmental partners to promote awareness and good environmental practices in the High Atlas
6. International Compliance
The event complies with international standards (UTMB, ITRA) in environmental management and sustainable development, ensuring a responsible, safe race that respects its territory.
